Our most urgent need is for volunteers to come out on the weekends and hold dogs or supervise cats at our adoption events. Your precious weekend hours will enable us to show more dogs and cats at each event, increasing the numbers of animals going to loving homes. Dog and cat handlers must be at least 14 to volunteer, and those under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers must be able to stay for the entire event.
The Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation has four Petsmart Cat Adoption Centers. Cat center volunteers commit to weekly or biweekly morning or evening shifts during which they care for the center kitties and provide them with lots of love and playtime. It is a great activity for the family or anyone who needs some extra kitty time! Center volunteers must be at least 14 to volunteer.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to get started and ask about available center shifts.
Foster homes are critical to the mission of Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation. We seek to place dogs and cats who are not quickly adopted or who need some extra TLC into loving, responsible foster homes so that they can become ready for adoption. Often, all these dogs and cats need is someone to spend a little time with them and to advocate for them at adoption events. If you are able to make the commitment to guide a dog or a cat (or a litter of puppies or kittens) into a forever home, please contact email@example.com. More information here.
Our dogs and cats are always going places! On the weekends we load up our dogs and cats down at the Lost Dog & Cat Ranch and send them up north to the adoption events. We need drivers who are willing to chauffeur our furry friends to their futures.
It takes money to save animals. The hard reality is that vet care is incredibly expensive and we have lots of other costs as well, like gas for our transport vehicles, maintenance to our kennel facility, dog and cat food and more. If you would like to get involved in our efforts to raise funds, we welcome your participation!
If you have a professional skill to lend, let us know! Writers, editors, graphic designers, filmmakers and fundraisers are all welcome at our rescue table.
We are always in need of experienced grant writers who can help us seek out and capitalize on funding opportunities.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our volunteers will contact you as soon as possible.
